These things happen with winders like this, but think of it this way. $1000 for a winder that may or may not break, or $40 for a watch winder that you might need to replace each year or two. For $40 and a motor that runs that often, plus with a cheap replacement cost - I'd consider it a better investment that something that could end up being an expensive paper weight in the future.
