The watch above is the newer-ish UTS Adventure Power Reserve watch. UTS is a hardcore boutique tool watch maker in Germany, with a very dedicated production team and a small volume of watches made each year. It is rare that they release a totally new product, and for Basel World, that is just what they have done. The Adventure Power Reserve really don't look like anything else in their line up. In my opinion, is strongly similar to the below Breguet Moon Phase Power Reserve Ref. 7137BA/11/9V6. Minus the moon phase of course. Is that a striking dial similarity or what?
Inside the Adventure Power Reserve is a manually wound Unitas caliber 6497-1 that has been modified with a power reserve indicator. It is a simple, but hardy movement. I would have liked to see a more complex movement for what this watch will inevitably cost. UTS has always been known for high quality cases, this being among them. It is a look that further appears nicer on your arm, than off your arm. The bolted case look just has a nice style to it.
The case measures 46mm, making it really large. The watch is water resistant to 500 meters, lower than most UTS watches, but still enough to make the watch out-live you under water. The Breguet is a delicate flower compared to the UTS watch.
Our shapely Breguet Power Reserve Moon Phase may have had a direct or subliminal effect on the UTS design. It has self-winding in-house movement, a silvered 18-carat gold dial that hand guilloche engraved on a rose-engine. You can see that the power reserve indicator is placed in the same way as on the UTS Adventure Power Reserve watch. Instead of a seconds dial at 6 o'clock, the Breguet has a date dial. This watch has no need to display the seconds. In case you are interested the Breguet (at over $30,000) model displayed is the reference 7137BA/11/9V6. Both nice watches, both classics in their own way.

I really don’t get it. The idea was to write about the UTS or the Breguet? It seems that the Breguet has hijacked the original post. When one has a manual wind and the other is automatic, the only similarity I see is the Power Reserve Indicator, but comparing both seems to me to be a long shot.
By they how much do you think the UTS will cost?
Fair enough, I can’t claim that everyone will see the connection, but it was such a departure for me of what UTS usually does, and just immediately reminded me of the Breguet watch. Probably costs in the $3-5k range.
This UTS model came out over a year ago.
You might check their website for news becuase they have some new models and this isn’t one of them.
I just mentioned that it was “newer,” not totally new. The small brand doesn’t release too many watches.
