I've used Suunto Elementum Aqua since early summer 2009. I've been happy to use this dive watch as a watch which allows me to go to swin, to dive (using it as a second “backup computer”), and it seems to be good enough to work also in Finnish sauna ?
For diving purposes, the wrist could be little longer, especially when using drysuit. Ok, the package include an extension, which helps. Also, the simplicity of the user interface is good, if I compare it to dive computers. My normal dive computer is Vyper, which user interface and usage is much more complex. In most of the cases, it is enough to know how long the dive has been and how deep I am – and this information is provided by Elementum.
The only thing I wish Suunto would develop further is the contrast of numbers in the Elementum. In normal non-diving usage it is ok, but when diving it is sometime hard to see numbers. Whole watch is black (which is cool!) and also background of table is black. The numbers are dark grey, so it really requires good light underwater to see what the watch shows. Ok, there is also a backlight, which helps.
I have been happy with this Suunto Elementum, and I can recommend it for any sporty person who wants a watch which can be used also underwater.

Yea, it is pricey, but it will be a better timepiece than dive computer. It is a special device for special purposes. Plus a Doxa is gonna be more money and has no dive computer functions! Take care.

Nice looking watch but seems pricey as you can buy a watch that is an actual dive computer for less. My favorite dive watch is Doxa

The Suunto Elementum Aqua is gonna be a more easy to use and simple diving watch. The D4 has most features though. Still.. you should have other dive equipment with you to cover the other stuff. You'll probably be happier with the Elementum Aqua
