Yes, I know what you mean. While I was searching yesterday, I saw a Richard Mille that was almost the same as the one I wanted to get. Now I'm torn. I just hope I make the right decision. Thanks for the response.

Hey again. I once knew someone who purchased a rather expensive Cvstos watch and was happy. They are unique watches with a lot of character, but they are small brand. Don't expect a lot of people to recognize the brand of the watch, but they will like the design. Looks of their designs are "borrowed" from other popular watches. You'll see Richard Mille, Girard Perregaux, Franck Muller, Audemars Piguet, and other major brands all mixed together in Cvstos watches.

Hi,

It's great that you feature even the unusual watch designs in your blog. Timepieces like Romain Jerome's keep the horological world interesting. Btw, I'm looking for a 75th birthday gift for my Dad and I have my eyes on Cvstos Chronograph. What's your take on this brand?

Hey John,
I hear you on this specific model. At least it is a unique piece meaning that there is only one of them. Romain Jerome often likes proverbially poking the watch world in its side.

Not sure I appreciate RJ for their attempt to be different. That's not really what watchmaking is about. It's a sad commentary that anyone buys this kind of thing.
