Trust me that it can sometimes be a logistical (and insurance) nightmare for Linde Werdelin to provide potential customers with a free trial run of one of their watches. Basically, they will send you one of their watches for five days to check out and determine if you want to buy it. They obviously hope that you do so. And the point is that you get a real-live chance to experience their watches. As a sign of the Internet distribution times, Linde Werdelin is a pioneer - setting the tone for what will be the future of online watch watch buying. To my knowledge, no one else has been this straight forward and accommodating when it has come giving you the change to check out the product.
Since Linde Werdelin started, I believe that they offered some form of test run for their watches. However, before now, you could only check out their Elemental watch model. With the advent of the new Linde Werdelin "Test Set," you now only get to try out a larger selection of watches, but they also send you a "The Rock" Land Instrument to test with the watch. Hence the new name, the "Test Set."

Linde Werdelin is really confident about their watches and accompanying instruments. Having reviewed them both, I can attest to their coolness factor. Not to mention that they are impressively functional. If you teetering on a purchase decision for any of their products, I recommend you taking this opportunity to check them out. You can't check out all the watches, but available for this special hands-on evaluation are the:
- Two-Timer watch
- SpidoLite (all Titanium)
- Oktopus (Titanium)
- The One (black and silver dial options)
- 3-Timer (black and silver dial options)
Don't forget they come with a The Rock Land Instrument (pictured) for you to check out. If you purchase both, they need to be bought separately (as in, The Rock isn't included in the watch purchase prices), but Linde Werdelin wants you to check out the obvious accessory that is made for their watch line. To get a Test Set, visit the special page Linde Werdelin's website and take it from there. You'll need to fill out a short "loan request," but that is just for their insurance purposes. Enjoy!

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage anyone conisdering these watches to take advantage of the free trial. It is a painless process, and they go over the top to make sure everything is right. Also, I purchased an Elemental and love it!
There you have it folks. I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Thanks for the comment Phil. Enjoy the watch!
The link on all the pictures appears to be dead… it goes to a “catch all” web page.
Hi Alex,
You are right. I will contact them. The problem is on their end. The site was working earlier.
OK, but checking all of your posts on this company: the site is dead, the ebay links have 0 results and Amazon has 0 results… what’s up?
thanks ariel for the writeup!! i love Linde Werdelin. they so cool, the case is so unique yet not over the top! i love to see one of those in the flesh. Any chance u will be able to do a video preview?
thanks again.
Trey
Hi Alex,
Linde Werdelin is a smaller indy brand. Amazon.com won’t have stuff like that. Plus, all the watches are highly limited. They shop up on eBay once in a while, but not too often. Many many excellent brands are like this. Don’t think that all luxury brands are like Omega or Rolex with tons of watches around. This IS exclusivity. Take care.
Trey,
Thanks for the comment. You will have two Linde Werdelin watch video reviews soon. I promise – with more in the future. Also, you can see images of previous reviews I did here:

Ah, OK. The confusion comes from your March 24, 2008 post about Linde Werdelin. I thought this stuff was pretty cool so I started reading through all your posts. You included links in that post to their watches on sale on Ebay and Amazon… I got confused because those links were duds (just like the webpage). I take it they aren’t on those sites very often.
Thanks for the link ariel, great preview n photos. Did they let u keep the watch? shame if they didnt, it would have been heartbreaking to part with a nice watch like that. Cant wait for the vids! Good job ariel!
Hi Trey,
No, I didn’t get to keep the Linde Werdelin watches. That would actually be too big of a hit to them. They are a growing company with a select amount of inventory. Giving away watches is a big hit to their ability to do business. It isn’t like with a company like Rolex or Omega, that theoretically could easily give away watches as they have incredible amounts of unsold stock these days.
