Swatch Celebrates The 2010 Vancouver Olympics: Happy Games, Sporty Friends, & To The Top Watches

Fun watches for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics from Swiss Swatch. These seasonal watches are pretty neat – for the occasion. Here is a mini review of the trio. Each has a function aside from being Olympics related, that is except the “Sporty Friends” watch, which has an image of the Vancouver Olympics cartoon mascots. [...]

Last Chance To Enter For Free Swatch Automatic Chrono Watch Giveaway

The holidays are more or less over, the gifts have been given – perhaps a few left dangling “in the mail” somewhere – but few surprises are left. Did you get the watch that you wanted? Did you even ask for it? My philosophy is that unless someone knows exactly what you want (and where [...]

2003’s Swatch James Bond 007 40th Anniversary Collection Of Watches

This is a slightly older collection (from 2003), and the reason I talk about it is because Swatch plays an important role in the new James Bond Movie: 007 Quantum of Solace. Further still, there will be a new collection of Swatch watches dedicated to the 007 villains, all to celebrate Bond’s newest villain; Dr. [...]

The Swatch Irony Body and Soul on WatchReport.com

As an engineer, it’s always interesting to me to think about what a watch is designed for. In some ways, it’s easy to make “The World’s Finest Watch” if cost and time are no consideration. It’s much harder, on the other hand, to make a world-class watch for the masses for under, say, $200. Engineering both low-cost and style into a mechanical watch is not a simple task.
