The Casio Riseman GW-9200 is a bit tricky to review, mostly because Christian already wrote a pretty complete post about it already. It's also a bit of a hybrid watch, something of a merger between the worlds of the G-Shock and Pathfinder lines. I'll dive into feature lists after the break, but a short summary is this: Metric units only, and no compass.

I want the orange G-Shock to be in Atomic!!!!
Hi Scott,
The orange version of the Casio Riseman is controlled by the atomic clock! Same as the normal version. Just to let you know.
I’m planning to buy this watch but I read the atomic watch feature can go crazy when you leave the covered areas, I live in South America: can I just turn off that feature? I’d also like to know if all versions have metric system since I don’t use imperial.
Great site btw
Hi Oscar,
Nice to hear from you. Let me answer your questions. First, the watch is designed to be used in areas without atomic clock radio signals. This type of functionality is planned for in the design of the watch, and my review of the instructions shows that you can turn off the automatic signal receive function. So no worries there. Second, the watch is fully switchable between the metric and “standard” system. Thanks for the compliments about the site. Come visit me again soon.
Please keep in mind when referring to risemans, especially by model name and or color. If I were to the men in rescue orange is atomic I would be wrong 40% of the time +\- . Model numbers and module numbers make a significant variance. Gw9200rj is not Gw9200r nor is it G9200r, if you were to take a glance at these you would see basically the same watch. You may be upset later to find your riseman is only metric and or non atomic, I lesson I learned the hard. Don’t search for your items by model name alone, get the model #. Currently looking at my non atomic MIRO, wishing I had notice it was a g9200r not a gw9200r
great review. presently i own a g 9200 1DR NON ATOMIC MODEL.EASY,DOES NOT GET IN THE WAY.HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY(THE ONE CHARGED BY THE SOLAR PANEL)LAST?
